Original Fornasetti Display Plate from Oceanides series face of Lina Cavallieri

Early display plate by Piero Fornasetti, of the Oceanides Series, “Pearl In Shell” where the “Pearl” has Fornasetti’s muse Lina Cavallieri  numbered to the rear “274” with the perfect “Eye” at the top, the traditional “Artists hand with brush”, above “FORNASETTI – MILANO”, over “MADE IN ITALY”. Above this mark is also “TEMA” over “VARIAZIONI”, and in very fine print below this, is “W GERMANY  2”. The plate is in absolute perfect, original condition, with no damage or losses. Dimensions approx.: 25.5cm rim diameter x 2cm lift at perimeter and base rim of 15.5cm. Fornasetti, Milano, Italy.
