Rare Pair of Mid Century Cat Bookends with marble base

Rare Pair of Mid Century Modern Bookends of White Cats on Marble. Excellent Stylised designs, capturing the relaxed animal pose with tail curled and both front paws tucked under. The cats are of re-constituted white marble and very heavy with a finely polished satin finish, with very fine details to face and ears. They are set on black veined marble.  Both have no damage, no losses or repairs, just all perfect.
