Mid Century Large Kienzle Zodiac Desk Clock in original box

Mid Century Large Magic Zodiac Clock with full perimeter of floating, fine filigree Zodiac figures, suspended within the clear outer face band. The Workings and Hands are magically suspended in the centre of the central glass face, with gilt extravagant hands ring with gilt Roman numerals every 5 minutes and gilt surround. All metal finishes are in Gilt. Bronze, and aged Copper outer and lower column and heavy quality base. Excellent aged Patina with controls at rear, hand controls are the centre small knob, and winder is the knurled edge, larger outer rim. The Mechanism has been cleaned, serviced and keeps excellent time. No damage to comment on, just the fine aged patina. It also retains its original box, with shaped inner compartments fitting the clock intimately. Dimensions approx..: 25cm dia. Clock face; overall height 29cm; Base 7.5cm deep x 15cm wide x 6mm thick. German Manufacture Marked within the winding area “8 Tager” and “15 steine”, meaning originally, “8 Day” and “15 Jewel” workings. This is in its original fitted box, box shows some wear. Germany.
