Mid Century Globe Ice Bucket – Cold War interest – Rockets flying toward Russia

1960s Era American Ice bucket as a terrestrial globe. A “Cold War” Ice Bucket, with Rocket as Handle. It is a piece of political propaganda with a Rocket flying from American towards Russia. The Lid is held to matching Country areas with 2 pins that hold the lid in position, matching to locations on the white, solid nylon liner to hold the ice cubes. This bucket is supported away from the metal outer and lid to insulate  ice; the metal base has a lower, central hole to allow an air layer to ventilate the cavity, increasing the insulation. An excellent design concept, in excellent condition. Dimensions approx.: 26cm high overall, 22cm dia. sphere; inner Liner 14.5cmm inside dia. x 12cm deep.
