French Art Deco pair of Pomeranian Dog bookends on marble

Art Deco Pomeranian Book Rests on French, Brown Fossilized Marble. All in excellent condition with the Die cast Dogs having a “Japanned” finish (Black and Brass enamel), with the old flat screw heads to the base;  soft aged patina with minor handling marks, but excellent for age. The modeller has captured the Dog’s faces and attitude to perfection, and the bases have chamfered corners to the outer ends .  Dimensions approx..: Marble base 10.5cm x 6.5 cm x 2cm thick; Dogs 9cm to 11cm overall height x 10cm wide x 4.5cm deep (varies). France. Circa 1925.
