Art Deco French Lamp by Enrique Molins Balleste “The Flapper Girl”. Fantastic “mood” lamp that catches the period so vividly. The lady is Font de Art with a gilt, silver and black highlights, sitting on a long ellipse of grey marble, having veined, darker greys. The marble has a carved, reversed “pencil” curved top edge , and rests on Bronze adjustable feet, in a squat barrel shape. The shade is in a deep cream top that lightens towards the base, and when illuminated reflects the gilt on the lady to perfection. Re-wired to Australian Standards, but easily converted to U.S.A., European or British use by simply changing the plug at end of cord by a qualified person. Dimensions are approx.: overall Height  17cm x 39.5cm wide x 13cm deep;  Shade 14cm high x 12cm max. dia.. France. Circa 1930.
