Exceptional Art Deco Sterling Silver Necklace set all round with German Marcasites

An Exceptional long Art Deco Necklace in Solid Sterling Silver, with extensive German Marcasite decoration. The necklace is intricate with extensive overlaying and interlocking ribbons all inlaid with marcasite on the total length of the necklace.  The amount of work in this piece may represent a “specialised design on order”, as it is rare you find such intricate and varied pieces in one necklace, with so much Marcasite. The Hallmark consists of 3 individual marks across the very bottom of the pendant; cannot be identified tests as 925 Silver, but probably German. Dimensions approx.: Overall length 35cm; links  2.2cm each; Central pendant 3.3cm wide x 3.7cm wide; side “ribbons” 3cm long x 1.5cm deep max.. Germany. Circa 1920’s. It may appear that some marcasites are damaged or different colours but it is just so sparkly that it is camera flash.
