Askew of London Silvered Cicada Brooch

An amazing Cicada Brooch by Askew of London, as Hallmarked to the rear with “ASKEW” above “LONDON” on rear of brooch. Totally perfect condition including French roll-over Safety clasp to rear. The design appears to be influenced by the Egyptian Revival Scarab Beetle design, modified to more Modern material and “jewels”, being of aged Silver finish with white Diamantes along the inner wing edges and a half circle at rear of head as if crowned in Diamantes. Dimensions approx.: 3.7cm wide x 4.8cm high x 1cm overall height including pin.
