Art Deco Solid Taxco Mexican Silver Clamper Bangle in form of two leaves. Impressive large proportions with intricate design. Excellent condition, no damage with soft age patina. Clearly hallmarked to inner surface. Impressed marks: Hecho en Mexico; 925 Taxco; Mexico Sterling and Villasana. The mark is pre-Eagle, which means it was made before 1948, and all confirming the Sterling Silver standards quality. Dimensions approx.: Inner wrist ellipse 6cm x 4.8cm, opening to 4.2cm; width 8cm max at front to 3cm at rear hinge; thickness generally 1-1.5mm.; mass 67gm. Mexico. Circa 1940.
