An early Art Deco French Oak Sideboard with stepped Marble top


Art Deco French Oak Sideboard, with curved side doors, straight front and both Floral carved. The top is Stepped, Rouge and White Marble slabs with floral carved uprights each end supporting a contoured mirror at rear.

All fully restored with excellent patina to the timbers. The central, top middle Draw is reeded at top and bottom and has a slightly stepped edge, same as the cupboard door below. At corners, the feet have 3 steps, tapering towards the floor. The original nickel handles are intact, with bronze key escutcheons, and the original double throw French locks still intact, although worn, but working. The cupboards all have a central shelf division. And the side doors and interior shelves are all curved. Generally excellent presentation all over. Dimensions approx.: 138cm wide x 38cm deep at ends and 46cm deep at centre; the outer curved sections are stepped down, 104cm high from floor, while centre marble is 107cm high; mirror top is 141.5cm high max.. France. Circa 1930’s.  (Please note the marks which appear on the central door are a camera flash of lighter grain in the timber, they are not marks or scratches)
