1950s Mid Century American Tortoiseshell Lucite purse by Rialto New York

Rare 1950s American Tortoiseshell Lucite Purse with fine gold filigree metal and tall Horseshoe Lucite Handle, all in excellent condition. The purse is by Rialto New York. The Original Brand is intact but rubbed, and only a couple of letters plus N.Y. are distinctly visible. The Gilt encased Lucite lid has a full length gilt Piano Hinge and a sprung Gilt Clip Button at front, and all the filigree gilt metalwork is rivetted to the Full Box sides and edges. Magnificent condition for age, soft age patina from gentle and careful use over the many decades. Dimensions Approx.: 25.5cm high including handle; 9cm high to top of lid; Main case 8cm high x 20cm wide x 10.5cm deep.
