Art Deco Australian Bar or cocktail cabinet
Art Deco Australian Bar in Tasmanian Oak. It opens automatically with articulated, nickel/chrome plated hinges; when the top is lifted, the front, upper door drops open simultaneously, providing a glass covered Drink Mixing Area with inner glass shelf, glass bottom, with a mirrored back. The lower door has the original Corn Yellow Bakelite handle and fitted with the an English double Lever lock and brass escutcheon plate. The lower cupboard area has 2 slide out, cantilevered oak draws with side and rear to both, fitted with side and rear guard rails. There is a short Cabriole carved leg to each bottom corner, and all edges generally have a decorated finish. Amazing condition with minor age patina and no damage or losses. Original Manufacture’s brass and black enamel badge still intact, i.e., G. PARKINSON, above FURNITURE MANUFACTURER, above 34 ELGIN STREET, above CARLTON.
